ORDER GAME PHOTOS
It's time for another edition of Heavy Hitters. Every Monday, we'll recap the nine most scintillating hitting performances from the past week of competition.
Why nine? Because there's nine batters in the lineup.
I should note that these are single-game performances only. I don't have the math skills to pull off calculating weekly totals.
If you'd like to nominate an athlete for our Heavy Hitters list, send an email to brandon@idahosports.com.
With that said, here's our list of Idaho softball's Heavy Hitters, from the week of April 17th to April 22nd. The performances will be listed in chronological order.
1. Grace Sheppard, Sr, Rigby
Rigby picked up a 20-9 win over High Country Conference rival Madison on Monday, April 17th. Sheppard finished 4-for-5 with a triple, five RBIs, and two runs scored. Shepard also reached base on an error, and a hit-by-pitch, and stole a base for good measure.
2. Liberty Shake, Jr, Mountain View
Shake sizzled in the Mavericks’ 15-5 Southern Idaho Conference win over Boise on Monday, April 17th. Shake went 2-for-4, with both hits coming via the home run. She added three RBIs and two runs scored to her totals.
3. Zayne Hall, Jr, Homedale

Wood River survived a 12-11 slugfest with Great Basin Conference rival Minico on Friday, April 21st. In a game where every run counted, Atienza drove in five as part of a 4-for-6 performance. The senior drilled two doubles and a triple, stole a base, and scored twice.
