Which teams advanced to Saturday action? Lots of upsets occurred in the semifinals.

5A Semifinals | Rocky Mountain 55, Timberline 52 (OT)


A game-tying 3-pointer by Timberline's Lauren McCall bounced off the rim at the buzzer and No. 7 Rocky Mountain survived and advanced to Saturday's state championship game at the Ford Idaho Center.

The game was tight throughout, as No. 6 Timberline had a 10-9 lead after one quarter and Rocky Mountain entered halftime up 24-23. The game went to overtime when Rocky Mountain's Zoe Archibald sank a 3-pointer with 12 seconds left.

Archibald received IdahoSports Player of the Game, finishing with 16 points (4-of-7 from 3), two assists and two steals for the Grizzlies (18-8), who advance to their first state title game since 2014. Cianna Lesgaspi had 13 points, 13 rebounds and two steals while Anna Dabell added 10 points, 13 rebounds and three assists.

Emmi Sillie had 21 points and nine rebounds while Kailey Huegerich added 12 points, three rebounds five assists, two blocks and two steals for the Wolves (21-6), who will play in Saturday's third-place game.

5A Semifinals | Coeur d'Alene 51, Boise 50 (2OT)

No. 1 Coeur d'Alene emerged victorious after a marathon double overtime semifinal versus No. 4 Boise at the Ford Idaho Center to advance to Saturday's state championship game. The game had 15 lead changes, seven ties and neither team trailed by more than six points.

Teagan Colvin hit a 3-pointer with 21 seconds left in regulation to prompt the first overtime. She hit two free throws in double overtime to make it 49-46 Coeur d'Alene with less than 90 seconds left. Boise attempted a long inbounds pass right before the buzzer sounded.

Colvin finished with 28 points (4-of-9 from 3-point range) to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game for the Vikings (23-2), who reach their first state title game since 2014. Madison Symons added 12 points, eight rebounds and two steals.

Avery Howell finished with a double-double of 25 points and 24 rebounds and went 7-of-8 on free throws to lead the Brave (22-3), who will play in Saturday's third-place game. Kaity Haan added 21 points and seven rebounds.

5A Consolation Round | Rigby 59, Thunder Ridge 51

No. 3 Rigby outlasted No. 2 Thunder Ridge in a clash of eastern Idaho teams to advance to Saturday's consolation final.

It was the fifth meeting between the District 6 foes this season and Rigby's third consecutive victory over the Titans.

Kambree Barber finished with a double-double of a game-high 36 points (17-of-24 on free throws) and 17 rebounds, four assists and two steals to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game for the Trojans (21-5), who shot 43.6 percent from the field for the game to Thunder Ridge's 28.3. The Trojans also edged the Titans on rebounds, 46-27.

Aspen Caldwell finished with 20 points (12-of-15 on free throws) while Kennedy Stenquist added 12 points (2-of-6 from 3-point range) for Thunder Ridge, which ends the season 24-4.

5A Consolation Round | Owyhee 57, Eagle 48

No. 5 Owyhee got double-digit scoring from four players to extend its season with a win over No. 8 Eagle to reach Saturday's consolation final.

Both teams shot better than 40 percent from the field for the game. Owyhee, however shot 71.4 percent from the free throw line and had 31 rebounds to Eagle's 19.

Mikale Roy finished with a double-double of 13 points, 10 rebounds and three assists to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game for Owyhee (20-5). Riley Beck had 14 points,
Adelynn Wright had 11 points and Josie Davis added 10 points.

Paige Cofer had a game-high 21 points (5-of-8 on free throws), three rebounds and five steals to lead Eagle, which ends the season 14-14.

4A Semifinals | Sandpoint 47, Columbia 32

No. 3 Sandpoint shot 61.1 percent from the floor in the second half en route to a semifinal win over No. 7 Columbia to advance to Saturday's state championship game at the Ford Idaho Center.

The Bulldogs, who shot 42.9 percent from the field for the game, scored 28 points in the second half and stretched their lead to as much as 26 points to reach their first state title game since 1996.

Karlie Banks finished with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds for Sandpoint to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game while Aliya Strock added 11 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Ellie Robertson had nine points to lead Columbia (15-11), which will play in Saturday's third-place game.

4A Semifinals | Shelley 60, Bishop Kelly 48

No. 1 Shelley shot 42 percent from the field and hit eight 3-pointers in a semifinal win over No. 5 Bishop Kelly to reach Saturday's state championship game at the Ford Idaho Center.

The Russets, who will play in their first state title game since 2008 and first at the 4A level, led 24-20 at halftime before entering the fourth quarter with the score knotted at 39-39. They went on to outscore the Knights 21-9 in the fourth.

IdahoSports Player of the Game Brinley Cannon finished with a double-double of 25 points (2-of-5 from 3-point range), 15 rebounds , three assists, three blocks and five steals for Shelley (22-3) while Mia Williams added 11 points, three rebounds and four assists.

Keira Lizama had 10 points and six rebounds for Bishop Kelly (21-4), which will play in Saturday's third-place game.

4A Consolation Round | Minico 50, Blackfoot 39

Carlie Latta scored a game-high 32 points, had seven rebounds and three assists and was 4-of-8 from 3-point range for No. 6 Minico in a win over No. 2 Blackfoot at Timberline High School to advance to Saturday's consolation final.

Latta was named IdahoSports Player of the Game. Minico (17-8)  scored 25 points in the fourth quarter to finish off the win and shot 45 percent from the field for the game.

Marlie Pieper had 14 points, six rebounds and three assists while Riley Layton had 11 points for Blackfoot, which ends the season 13-11.

4A Consolation Round | Pocatello 54, Twin Falls 39

No. 4 Pocatello scored 32 points in the second half--20 in the fourth quarter--to advance to Saturday's consolation final with a win over No. 8 Twin Falls at Timberline High School.

Pocatello had the edge on rebounds (41-31) and points in the paint (22-16).

Kenna Garza had 13 points and five rebounds to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game for Pocatello (16-7) while Liv Marshall added 13 points and four rebounds.

Ali Okelberry had 12 points to lead Twin Falls, which ends the season 12-14.

3A Semifinals | Timberlake 60, Teton 39

No. 2 Timberlake scored 41 points in the second half and shot 44 percent from the floor for the night to defeat No. 6 Teton and advance to Saturday's state championship game at the Ford Idaho Center.

The Tigers were 50 percent from 3-point range in the win.

Freshman Malia Miller led the Tigers (22-2) for the second day in a row, finishing with 22 points (4-of-6 from 3-point range), three rebounds and two assists to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game. Ciara Soumas added 13 points (3-of-7 from 3), two rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Abi Barkdull had 10 points and six rebounds to lead Teton (18-10), which will play in Saturday's third-place game versus District 6 foe Sugar-Salem.

3A Semifinals | Snake River 38, Sugar-Salem 36

No. 1 Snake River defeated defending state champion and No. 4 Sugar-Salem for the third time this season in a clash of eastern Idaho powers at Skyview High School to advance to Saturday's state championship game.

The game was tight throughout, with six lead changes, three ties and leads of no more than six points. During the second half, Snake River shot 41.2 percent from the field while Sugar-Salem shot 12.5 percent. The teams combined for 38 turnovers.

Rylie Edlefson finished with 10 points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals for Snake River (22-3) to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game.

Kennedy Gillette had 16 points, two rebounds, two assists and four steals for Sugar-Salem (16-7), which faces District 6 foe Teton in Saturday's third-place game.

3A Consolation Round | Weiser 50, Buhl 23

Mattie Shirts had 24 points, eight rebounds and was 11-of-14 from the free throw line to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game in No. 5 Weiser's win over No. 8 Buhl at Skyview High School to advance to Saturday's consolation final.

Weiser (22-4) held Buhl to single-digit scoring in each quarter, scored 30 points off 34 Buhl turnovers and built a lead as large as 40-12 in the third quarter.

Meghan Montgomery had six points to lead Buhl, which ends the season 10-16.

3A Consolation Round | Parma 69, Filer 46

No. 3 Parma poured in 42 points in the second half en route to a win over No. 7 Filer at Skyview High School to advance to Saturday's consolation final.

Parma built a lead as large as 29 points and the teams combined to score 45 points in the fourth quarter.

Rylie Calkins finished with 19 points (3-of-8 from 3-point range, 8-of-9 on free throws), seven rebounds and three assists to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game for Parma (20-5) while Sidney Jackson added 17 points (3-of-6 from 3, 4-of-5 on free throws) and 10 rebounds.

Josalyn Bailey had 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals for Filer, which ends the season 15-11.

2A Semifinals | Soda Springs 37, Cole Valley 25

No. 2 Soda Springs edged No. 3 Cole Valley for a semifinal win at Bishop Kelly High School to advance to Saturday's state championship game at the Ford Idaho Center.

While there were no lead changes, and the Cardinals built a lead as large as 13 points, the game was tied three times. However, Cole Valley had 18 turnovers to Soda Springs' nine.

IdahoSports Player of the Game Taylor Billman had 13 points (9-of-12 on free throws), four assists and four steals for Soda Springs (22-4) while Zipaya Somsen added 12 points and six rebounds.

Hadley Fraas had 11 points , six rebounds and two steals to lead Cole Valley (19-6), which will play in Saturday's third-place game.

2A Semifinals | Melba 53, West Side 31

No. 1 Melba took down No. 5 West Side at Bishop Kelly High School to remain undefeated and advance to Saturday's state championship game at the Ford Idaho Center.

The Mustangs (25-0) poured in 31 points in the first half, shot 51.3 percent from the field for the game and built a lead as large as 24 points in the win over the Pirates (17-9). The team combined for 47 turnovers.

Kendall Clark received her second IdahoSports Player of the Game honor in as many days, finishing with 19 points and eight rebounds for Melba.

Natalie Lemmon had a double-double 10 points, 11 rebounds and three steals for West Side, which will play in Saturday's third-place game.

2A Consolation Round | Grangeville 52, Ambrose 39

No. 6 Grangeville built a 30-18 halftime lead en route to a win over No. 7 Ambrose at Bishop Kelly High School to advance to Saturday's consolation final.

IdahoSports Player of the Game Addisyn Vanderwall had 10 points and six rebounds for Grangeville while Abbie Frei had 10 points (2-of-5 from 3-point range) and Madalyn Green added eight points and 14 rebounds.

Ellie Thome had 14 points (4-of-6 from 3) while Cate Perrigo added 11 points and nine rebounds for Ambrose, which ends the season 17-11.

2A Consolation Round | Ririe 53, Declo 44 (OT)

No. 4 Ririe kept its season alive, enduring 14 lead changes to defeat No. 8 Declo at Bishop Kelly High School and advance to Saturday's consolation final.

After entering halftime up 19-14, Ririe ended the third quarter tied with Declo 31-31 and regulation knotted at 42-42. The Bulldogs held the Hornets to two points for the rest of the way, however, and ultimately won the rebounding battle with 42 total boards to Declo's 22 and points off turnovers (21 to 15).

Declo's Brynn Silcock and Ririe's Kennidee Anderson each received Idaho Players of the Game. Silcock had 19 points, eight rebounds and was 7-of-11 on free throws while Anderson had 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Madi Andreasen added 20 points (5-of-6 on free throws) for Ririe (19-7). Lilly Mallory added 16 points (3-of-8 from 3-point range) for Declo, which ends the season 10-14.

1AD1 Consolation Round | Liberty Charter 36, Greenleaf 26

Addy Bayne nearly had a double-double for No. 6 Liberty Charter in a win over No. 7 Greenleaf at Columbia High School to advance to Saturday's consolation final.

The IdahoSports Player of the Game, Bayne had 13 points, nine rebounds, five blocks and three steals for the Patriots (15-7), who led by as much as 17 points. The teams combined for 56 turnovers and 84 rebounds.

Shae Olsen had 11 points, six rebounds and five steals for Greenleaf, which ends the season 17-6.

1AD1 Consolation Round | Grace 57, Lakeside 37

No. 4 Grace got double-digit scoring from three players to keep its season alive in a win over No. 8 Lakeside to advance to Saturday's consolation final.

Karlie Christensen came off the bench for Grace to finish with 12 points, three rebounds and three steals and earn IdahoSports Player of the Game. Tenleigh Walker had 14 points (4-of-8 from 3-point range), four rebounds and four assists while Melodie Straatman added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Grizzlies (20-5).

1AD1 Semifinals | Raft River 46, Prairie 40

No. 3 Raft River outlasted No. 2 Prairie for a semifinal win at Columbia High School to advance to Saturday's state championship game at the Ford Idaho Center.

The Trojans got double-digit scoring from three players and emerged victors of a game that featured nine lead changes, seven ties, leads of no more than six points and a combined 65 rebounds.

IdahoSports Player of the Game Carolina Schumann had 14 points and four rebounds for Raft River (23-3) while Ryan Udy had 11 points and four rebounds and Logan Jones added 11 points and four rebounds.

Kristin Wemhoff finished with a game high 16 points, four rebounds two assists and two steals while Lexi Schumacher added 10 points, four rebounds and three steals for Prairie (20-6), which will play in Saturday's third-place game.

1AD1 Semifinals | Oakley 38, Lapwai 32

No. 5 Oakley took down defending state champion No. 1 Lapwai at Columbia High School to set up an all District 4 state championship game versus Raft River on Saturday at the Ford Idaho Center.

Oakley trailed 11-7 after the first quarter but held Lapwai to single-digit scoring in the remaining three quarters. Lapwai shot 13 percent from the field for the game, including 8.33 percent in the second half, while Oakley shot 38.7 percent from the field for the game.

Oakley's Addie Milton had eight points and eight rebounds to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game.

Jaelyn McCormack-Marks had 14 points (6-of-6 on free throws) and five rebounds while Lauren Gould added 11 points (9-of-10 on free throws), six rebounds and six steals for Lapwai (24-2), which faces district foe Prairie in Saturday's third-place game.

Kyleigh Wolfe had 11 points and three steals to lead Lakeside, which ends the season 13-8.

1AD2 Semifinals | Council 42, Rockland 24

No. 6 Council held defending state champion No. 2 Rockland to single-digit scoring in each quarter to secure a semifinal win at Nampa High School and advance to Saturday's state championship game.

Council shot 43.2 percent for the game compared to 20.8 percent by Rockland. 

Hope Zollman received IdahoSports Player of the Game, scoring 13 points (3-of-6 from 3-point range) and grabbing four rebounds and five assists for Council (16-5). Isabelle Eppich added 14 points, eight rebounds and three steals.

Taylie Boyer had nine points to lead Rockland (21-4), which will play in Saturday's third-place game.

1AD2 Semifinals | Dietrich 32, Deary 31

No. 4 Dietrich rallied from a 19-14 halftime deficit and held on for a semifinal win over No. 1 Deary at Nampa High School to advance to Saturday's state championship game.

After scoring two points in the first quarter, Dietrich went on to outscore Deary in the remaining quarters and hold the Mustangs to two points in the fourth.

Hailey Astle finished with 13 points, three rebound, two assists and two steals for Dietrich (22-3) to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game. 

Triniti Wood had 13 points to lead Deary (18-3), which will play in Saturday's third-place game.

1AD2 Consolation Round | Kendrick 58, Garden Valley 34

A 25-point first quarter set the tone for No. 3 Kendrick in a win over No. 7 Garden Valley at Nampa High School to advance to Saturday's consolation final.

Kendrick, which led 33-24 at halftime and 47-27 after three quarters, finished with 59 total rebounds to Garden Valley's 41.

Rose Stewart had a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds and four steals for the Tigers (17-5) to receive IdahoSports Player of the Game. Hailey Taylor added 14 points (4-of-11 from 3-point range), five rebounds and three steals and Ruby Stewart had a double-double of 10 points, 11 rebounds,
two assists and two steals.

Katelyn Grace Thompson had 10 points,six rebounds and three assists, Gracie Castillo had 10 points and eight rebounds and Kadence Jacobs added 10 points for Garden Valley, which ends the season 10-9.

1AD2 Consolation Round | Leadore 60, Clark Fork 39

No. 5 Leadore scored 33 points in the first half en route to a win over No. 8 Clark Fork at Nampa High School to advance to Saturday's consolation final.

Leadore, which shot 39.7 percent from the field for the night, got 25 points (5-of-5 on free throws), 14 rebounds and four steals from Sadie Bird. She shared IdahoSports Player of the Game honors with Clark Fork's Lily Reuter, who had 23 points and was 7-of-14 from 3-point range.

Mackenzie Mackay added 12 points, four rebounds and two steals while Lexi Bird had 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals for Leadore. Clark Fork ends the season 7-14.
