Since we introduced the Idaho Girls Basketball Top 25 Daily rankings at the beginning of this month, there's been a lot of movement in certain classifications (looking at you, 5A and 1AD2).  Other classifications, like Class 4A, have remained fairly stable.

Shelley, Bishop Kelly and Mountain Home have been ranked for some time now, and comprise the top three marks among 4A teams according to our Power Rankings.

Bishop Kelly was in action on Wednesday night, and the result was predictable: a 53-36 romp over Skyview.

The win improved BK to 16-3 overall, 10-0 in the Southern Idaho Conference, and at #2 among 4A teams in our Top 25.

Bishop Kelly's resume is impressive.  Their lone blemishes have come to 5A powers Boise and Timberline, and last year's 4A runner-up Skyline.

When you look at the Knights' roster, you'll see names you recognize from other sports.  5-foot-4 senior Madison Hutchinson and 5-foot-8 senior Logan McCarthy are soccer standouts.  6-foot senior Addie Hiler is a terror on the volleyball court.

That trio is joined by 5-foot-3 junior Keira Lizama and 5-foot-11 senior Caroline Knothe in the starting lineup.  With Knothe and Hiler down low, the Knights boast a formidable front line that can be hard to score against.  Bishop Kelly is allowing just 31 points per game, far and away the best defensive mark in the entire 4A classification.

Bishop Kelly will host Columbia in their most important game of the regular season on Friday, January 27th.  The 9-1 Wildcats are a game behind the Knights in the SIC standings.  A win by the Cats would force a tie for first place in the league.  Bishop Kelly won the first matchup 57-47 back on January 3rd.
