Tuesday, Jan. 25th
Boise at Timberline (Girls Basketball)
7:30 PM
Listen Live
The Southern Idaho Conference's two best teams collide in a pivotal league matchup. So far, no one has been able to solve Timberline (18-1 overall, 14-0 SIC), although Boise (15-2 overall, 12-2 SIC) came close in a 48-37 loss to the Wolves back on December 3rd. Even if Boise were to defeat Timberline, they would need Meridian to upset the Wolves in the regular season finale, just to force a tie for first in the final league standings. That said, this could be a preview of an SIC District Tournament or even a 5A State Tournament game.
Preston at Burley (Girls Basketball)
7:30 PM
Watch Live
This non-conference battle features two of the top three teams in the Class 4A Media and Coaches Polls. The Bobcats (18-1) defeated Preston (14-5) once already this year by a score of 48-39; however, that win came in the season opener back on November 13th. Preston has gotten better since then, but so has Burley. Keep an eye on Burley's Sadie Cook in this one. How she plays alongside Oregon commit Amari Whiting will be determine whether Burley earns the sweep over the Indians.
Camas County at Carey (Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball)
6:00 PM
Watch Live
A girls-boys varsity doubleheader, with major implications on the Sawtooth Conference standings? Yes please! In the girls game, Carey (7-7 overall, 3-1 in the SC) will try to keep pace with Dietrich and Richfield, who also have just one loss on their league mark. Camas County (7-5 overall, 1-2 in SC) are attempting to move up the standings. Berenice Vargas of Carey and Ashly Botz of Camas County should fill up the stat sheet tonight.
The boys contest features a pair of top five teams in both the coaches and media polls. The top-ranked Mushers (13-1 overall, 5-0 in SC) have breezed through the competition thus far, but Carey (11-5 overall, 3-1 in SC) has proven that once again they are a team to be reckoned with. Camas County's Breken Clarke and Carey's Carsn Perkes will duel all night in this showdown.
Wednesday, Jan. 26th
Vallivue at Middleton (Girls Basketball)
7:30 PM
Watch Live
Middleton (11-6 overall, 10-0 in the Southern Idaho Conference) will try and avoid stumbling against Vallivue (3-12 overall, 3-8 in the SIC) ahead of a showdown with Bishop Kelly that will determine the league crown. Coach Trent Harrison's Vikings team is focused on improving game-by-game and peaking when postseason play begins.
