Aberdeen Tigers vs Grangeville Bulldogs
Saturday, Nov. 21 @ 4:00 p.m. PT, Kibbie Dome
Broadcast Commentators: Paul Kingsbury, Tyson Johnson, Ken Webster
Ever since Aberdeen lost to West Side last year in the state championship game 16-6, they have been on a mission to get back to the championship game - and here they are. One game away from a perfect season and winning their first-ever state championship.
Aberdeen has got to do what they have done all season - establish their running game early and often. The Tigers are undefeated which means they know what they are doing and they do it very well. After last week's dismantling of the Declo Hornets in the Semi-finals 28-7 it would appear that Aberdeen is firing on all cylinders heading in to the championship game.
Grangeville comes in to the championship game 8-3 with two of those losses coming to 4A teams Moscow and Sandpoint. Grangeville's had to travel last week and beat Nampa Christian in the semi-finals in Nampa 48-34. The Bulldogs can put up big numbers in a hurry. They will need to score first and stay ahead or at least keep up with Aberdeen in scoring and not let themselves get more than a touchdown or two behind or it could be all over.
It's North vs East with one team playing for their 2nd championship in 5 years and the other playing for a perfect season and their first state title in school history. This game could go either way.
