LA GRANDE, Ore. – The College of Idaho was picked to finish sixth overall in the 2015 Cascade Conference Preseason Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Poll, released this morning by the league office.
The Coyotes, coming off an 8-10 season, received 115 voter points from the 14 conference head coaches, finishing in the middle of a logjam between fifth and eighth-place.
Defending CCC post-season champion, Corban, claimed nine first-place votes and grabbed the top spot, followed by defending CCC regular-season champion, Northwest. League newcomers Great Falls and Rocky Mountain each earned first-place votes and claimed the third and fourth-place positions.
Evergreen earned 118 voter points, just three points ahead of the Yotes. Warner Pacific was seventh, just one point behind C of I, with Carroll in eighth with 109 voter points.
The 14 teams will play a single round-robin schedule with the Top-8 teams in the final league table earning a spot in the CCC Championships, Nov. 11-14, in Eugene, Ore.
