I traveled down to Twin Falls Friday afternoon to help kick off the inagural Magic Valley Game of the Week (Twin Falls vs Skyview) with Scott Burton and Mike Savage. It was my first time at the home of the Bruins. The facilities were great and the game was even better. As a fan, I am looking forward to watching Scott and Mike broadcast every week from the Magic Valley.
We also kicked off our football audio-broadcasts with Caldwell vs Nampa Friday night. Veteran announcer Alan Ostyn was behind the mic for us at the Bulldog Bowl and he did a fantastic job.
On Saturday Will Hoenike and I cruised over to Meridian HS to web cast the Cole Valley vs Butte County game. The wind about blew us off the top of the press box, but luckily we both had enough weight on us to keep us planted pretty well.
Then there was the Friday Nite Flash. We had quite a few dedicated FnF Reps from all over the state texting us scores during the night, but we always use more! Just go here and click the "Become a FnF Rep!" tab for more information on that.
Next week will be even better. We have seven games scheduled to be web cast during the week. Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Caldwell, Borah, Boise, Pocatello, Meridian, Middleton, Rocky Mountain, Timberline, Bishop Kelly and Minico are all scheduled to be covered by our great broadcasting crews during the upcoming week.
Even though broadcasting is fun and takes up a lot of time for us here at IdahoSports.com, we aren't just a one-trick pony. We are constantly working on entering in state-wide sports schedules and scores, running contests, launching new email newsletters, putting out rankings, writing blogs and more. This will be our 13th year online and want it to make it the best one ever!
Don't forget about the thousands of action photos that will be posted every week in our Photo Gallery section. We are proud to say we have the BEST team of sports action photographers in the entire country right here on IdahoSports.com. We are always looking for a few more qualified photographers to cover more schools all over Idaho. If you are interested in becoming an IdahoSports.com Action Photographer email us at editor@idahosports.com and let us know!
