While baseball has been an Idaho High School Activities Association sanctioned sport in the state of Idaho for several years, the state tournament has not been sponsored by the IHSAA until the 2024-2025 school year. One of the first changes made by the IHSAA was an expanded state tournament that includes a "State Regional" the weekend before the "Championship Series".
On Sunday, May 3, the "State Regional" matchups and locations will be announced.

Format: 4 State Regional Tournaments with 3 teams each (double elimination)
Representation: District I (1), District III (5), District IV-V-VI (2), At-Large (4)
Tournament Hosts: North (District I champion), West (District III champion), West (District III runner-up), East (District IV-V-VI champion)
Addional Notes: 3 Tier System by MaxPreps ranking (Tier 1 is 1-4 seeds; Tier 2 is 5-8 seeds; Tier 3 is 9-12 seeds)
