MAXPreps Rankings are Bogus
Seeding off the MAXPreps rankings is ridiculous! Why bother playing the games if it's going to seed Homedale higher than Weiser after Weiser outright won the conference?

I Like MaxPreps Rankings
Yes, Weiser won the conference; however, Homedale has the better ranking, which is why they are seeded higher. Basketball has used MaxPreps Rankings for several seasons, and imo, the playoffs are actually better matched.

4A Rankings
The 4A bracket could be fixed if they would put in the same rules as some of the other brackets. If two teams from the same conference play in the playoffs and one is a conference champion, the conference champion would host. All the MaxPreps rankings is going to do is cost Weiser the chance to host a potential showdown with Homedale.

Trojans vs Diggers for like the 11th time. It'll happen. Diggers only obstacle might be Fruitland. Homedale will host Weiser and get revenge.

Champion game
Homedale will not host, yes they are ranked higher but the SRV has a rule that the winner of the conference will host even if there is another team in the SRV that is ranked higher

4A Rankings
For some reason Homedale is actually hosting despite losing the conference and that SRV rule. I hate to jump to conclusions, but this seems wrong so many different levels.

Hosting
The bracket for the 4A playoffs is designed and approved by the 4A coaches and AD's. So, Homedale hosting is a result of their choice to use the seedings of MaxPreps to determine the seeding. If schools want to have a voice in this decision then they need to show up to the meeting at West Ada during the meeting in early November each year. The brackets are approved on a two year basis with the IDHSAA. This is the first year of the current bracket.

Brackets
If you look at the brackets on the IDHSAA website you will see that some of the brackets have an exception to hosting, based on teams being from the same conference. However the 4A does not have this exemption.
