The Albertsons Big Deal of the Week is a new addition to IdahoSports.com in which student-athletes who excel in the classroom and competitively are selected on a weekly basis to be featured on the site. Each recipient of this weekly honor receives a $100 Albertsons gift card and is featured as a top story on IdahoSports.com.
With state baseball coming up this week, multi-sport standout Easton Durham of Highland helps lead the Rams into the 5A tournament as a dangerous group. Easton also plays quarterback on the football team and was a member of the varsity basketball program this year. He maintains a 3.96 GPA in the classroom.
Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I go to Highland High School and am a student-athlete who plays football, baseball and basketball. I graduate in 2021 and love hanging out with friends and living life to the fullest.
Do you have a nickname? If so, how did you get it?
Most people just call me Durham or East, short for Easton.
What is your favorite sport to watch? Participate in?
My favorite sport to watch would have to be college football. I love to play football, baseball and basketball.
As a student-athlete, which is harder - being a student, or being an athlete? Why?
I would say being a student. Many times there are long nights and doing extra time in class for school.

What is the best thing you have learned from playing sports in high school?
The best I have learned is when adversity hits, how will you bounce back?
Favorite high school memory, so far?
Winning a state championship in football in 2017, my freshman year.
Who is your favorite teacher? Why?
My favorite teacher would be Dane Beorchia. He’s an outstanding teacher, but also a great guy. I feel as if I can talk to him about anything.
What kind of car gets you around town?
A Toyota 4-Runner.
Cat person or dog person?
Dogs all the way.
Favorite food?
A good burger.
You have an entire weekend with no plans. What do you do?
Get outside, link up with the boys and have a bonfire.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
Tim Tebow.
What is something most people do not know about you?
Most people don’t know that I play the guitar.
What celebrity would play you if they made a movie about your life?
Tim Tebow.
What was the last song you listened to?

What are your plans after high school (college, work, etc.)?
My goal is to go to college on some sort of athletic scholarship. When in college I would like to get a degree in business.
When you "grow up" what is your idea of the perfect job?
Managing professional athletes.
What is the best advice you have ever received and from who?
“Humble yourself and glorify God,” my dad Jason Durham.
