ORDER GAME PHOTOS

Each week there are countless quality efforts put up by teams and individuals throughout the state of Idaho. Below are some of the top performances from the state during the week of January 14-19.

We try our best to include as many different parts of the state as possible in this list of ten. If you don't see your player listed below, don't worry, we will keep combing through the stats each week to add new faces to the list!

So without further ado, and in no particular order, here is the first ever "Sven's Ten" list, featuring top efforts from across the Gem State last week.

-St. Maries played two classifications up and beat Sandpoint 40-36 behind 22 points and 10 rebounds from Kaci Haeg and seven points, 12 assists and seven rebounds for Madison Cordell. Haeg and Cordell then repeated their strong performances in a league win against Orofino. Cordell totaled 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists and Haeg tallied 16 points, six boards and eight steals.

-Lighthouse Christian’s Casper Block put up a double-double with 12 points and 19 rebounds in the Lions 73-52 win over Carey after hauling in 16 boards the game prior in a 90-44 blowout of Dietrich.

-Cole Alton displayed what makes him one of the premier players in the state of Idaho with 29 points and 10 rebounds in Boise’s 70-43 thumping of Skyview.

-In a 48-33 win over Castleford, Hagerman’s Alana Floyd put up 19 points, 12 rebounds and six steals. Fellow conference opponent Dietrich was represented well by Matigan Bingham, who scored 28 of the 47 points in a 47-30 win at Glenns Ferry. Bingham hit six triples on the night.

-Sho-Ban won its first two games of the season last week in boys basketball, including a 50-46 overtime thriller over Clark County where Ethan Chacon had 19 points and 18 rebounds.

-Vallivue’s Jasmyne Boles filled the stat sheet in the Falcons 60-31 win over crosstown rival Ridgevue. Boles finished with 21 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and five blocks.

-Nezperce star Hannah Stapleton tallied 28 points and 15 rebounds in a 46-22 non-league win at Kamiah.

-Despite falling 66-61 to Lapwai, Grangeville’s Trey Dreadfulwater poured in 33 points. The Wildcats’ Payton Sobotta had 22 points and 11 rebounds in the win. Sobotta then had a career-high 33 points to lead Lapwai to a come from behind 68-61 league win over Potlatch.

-Randy McClure led Salmon River to a 63-49 win at Council with 29 points. On the girls side of things for the Savages, Chevelle Shepherd had 30 points in a 69-31 win over Horseshoe Bend.

-Michael Ure of Ririe went off on a shooting display against conference foe North Fremont, rattling off eight 3-pointers and finishing the night with 33 points in what was a scoring onslaught for the senior. The #1 ranked Bulldogs would go on to win 74-45.
