Where to start. It has been a whirl-wind of a summer so far and it is only June. There are several "headline-worthy" things happening around here, like Jeff Duncan coming on as our Sports Information and Broadcasting Director, the launch of the new Friday Nite Flash Overtime Show, daily podcast reports and the promise of more complete schedules and results.
While these are all very cool and exciting developments, the thing I am probably the most excited about is the massive expansion of our GameStreams division. IdahoSports.com has been broadcasting high school sports online since 2004, growing more and more each year. While the final broadcast schedule for this fall still isn't set, we are already extremely excited about the coverage we are going to be bringing to the fans of high school sports this year. Here is a taste of what we have so far...
1. We will be broadcasting every single 5A SIC football game. All of them. Every week.
2. We will, once again, be broadcasting all of the Idaho Falls and Skyline HS games played at Ravsten Stadium, including the Emotion Bowl.
3. We have two Magic Valley games every week. Those schedules were just confirmed yesterday. We''l have those games up on the broadcast schedule soon.
4. We will be bring you select 4A SIC games every week. We will start things off on August 24th with CDA @ Skyview and Kuna @ Minico.
5. North Idaho - We are expecting to bring you games from up north like we did last year. As soon as things are finalized up there we will get the games up on the broadcast schedule.
6. We are really stoked about bringing you action from the 3A SRV and the 2A WIC in the Western Treasure Valley. We are working on the logistics of these games, but expect to see games on the broadcast schedule soon.
7. The 2012 All State Games - We will be broadcasting these games next weekend live from Canyon Ridge High School.
8. The Idaho Classic - We've been asked to be at the Kibbie Dome on September 15th to broadcast these great games. They will be up in the schedule this week.
9. The Rocky Mountain Rumble - September 1st at Holt Arena. The RMR is back and so are we.
Keep an eye on the broadcast schedule as we add more games over the summer. Is anyone else hoping July and August fly by so we get the new school year started already??
