Wil Kingsbury
Kuna High School
Track Athlete

Class of 2024

"Wil started jumping in 7th grade on a whim at a middle school track meet.  He realized he had a natural talent for jumping and has been working hard to succeed in the long and triple jump ever since.  In his one and only varsity track meet, held on March 12, 2020, Wil long jumped 19’8” which was not only enough to win the meet, but also qualified him for districts.

Wil currently holds the InterValley League (middle school) record in long jump with a jump of 19’ 9.25”.  He also holds the second-longest triple jump of 39’ 7.5”.

Wil was really excited for his first high school track season, which was unfortunately cut short because of spring sports being suspended.  We are very proud of him for qualifying for districts in his first high school varsity track meet. We want him to know how proud we are of him and the work he puts in to be the best he can be.  As a family we will always be there to support him and can’t wait for this crisis to come to an end so we can all be there cheering him on for the rest of his high school career."

-Joella Kingsbury, Wil's mother
