Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
We have a nice combination of height on the inside and shooters on the outside, so we’ll have to make sure to exploit those mismatches game-by-game. Delaney Sauer has a chance to sneak into the top 5 in the record books for points scored in a career.

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
Again, we need to utilize our size and make it difficult for teams on the inside and to limit opponents second shots. Khadija Neumeyer has a chance to break the school’s steals record.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
With our team size we should be able to limit the number of shots other teams get.

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
We return 8 girls varsity, girls that already have a total 16 years of varsity experience (not including this year)

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
Capital vs. Borah, classic rivalry and Borah’s 2nd year head coach is former Capital assistant. About our schedule though, with the way scheduling and rearranging dates with other schools played out, we play 9 straight road games, with no home games in all of December, but finish with 7 straight home games.

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
Our height. We have a really tall team. We’ll have to use that to our advantage on both ends of the court

If you could change one rule in high school basketball, what would it be?
Shot clock. It’s time to update and advance the level of Idaho’s basketball

What makes your school the best place to coach for?
Capital is the one of the most well-rounded schools there is in the entire valley. We are a high achieving academic school, competitive in every sport, and have coaches that care about the athletes and their overall experience at Capital.
