As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
Same style as always with our program. Up tempo offense along with a more up tempo Princeton ½ ct. style. Alec and Connor are good athletes that can get to the rim while Jardine and Kade have each grown 3 to 4 inches which make them good inside outside players. Should be one of our best 3 point shooting teams top to bottom in the last few years.

Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
We’ve got to be able to push the ball better on made shots and improve our transition offense. Need to do a much better job finishing our drives and most of all we have to rebound a lot better. We got outrebounded in all 3 state games last year which is something that never happens.

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
Quickness, one of the quickest Twin teams we’ve put on the floor. We will press most of every game and play an aggressive man defense.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
Team defense. We are excellent on the ball but struggled at times playing team defense. Rebounding will also be a concern but very fixable.

Does your team have a motto/theme for the upcoming season?
Most courts are 94’ long and the game is 32 minutes long. Our motto is to play 94 feet for 32 minutes. We times those two numbers together and get 3008 so on every warm up jersey, t-shirt, sweatshirt or camp shirt we put MMMVIII on them as our logo.

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
I think our offense really opened up last summer and players played together. I’m excited to see if we won’t be so robotic and react more this year.

For the fans, what is the must-see game of the year on your schedule?
Twin vs. Burley, we were both young last year and finished 1,2 in our conference. The 4A state tourney could be one of the best tournaments to watch. There are some really good 4A teams this year as compared to past years.

What is the ‘X-Factor’ to having success this season as a team?
Rebounding. No doubt about it.

If you could change one rule in high school basketball, what would it be?
I think I would seed the state tournament. We’ve opened with Century the last 4 years. I would also move the 4A semi finals to the Idaho Center and have the 5A consolation moved to Borah.

Besides the pay, the fame and the glory, why do you coach high school basketball?
The kids. The rewards come later when you get wedding announcements, birth notices, farewells, etc. etc.

What makes your school the best place to coach for?
Our AD and Administration.
