Who do you have coming back this year?
Lindsey Woodworth, SG, 12, 5’9 , Maria Sanchez, PG, 12, 5’6, Hunter Morris, PF, 12, 5’11, Sammie Neaman, 11, 5’10

Any “Key Players” that you lost from last year?
Charidee Permann, F: she was a great, physical presence inside for us offensively and defensively. Alex Morris, G- her ball handling and defensive hustle will be missed. Faby Villa, G- Faby was a true leader for us and a great facilitator on offense

Do you have any new incoming “impact” players?
Daisha Leyshon, F, 11, 6’0; Shelby Hunt, G, 12, 5’9; Mikah Fehringer, F, 11, 5”11
As a team, what are your offensive strengths?
We like to push the ball and try to keep teams on their heels, and we’ve got good team quickness that should allow us to do that effectively. We will be built around our three leading scorers from last year: Maria Sanchez, a very quick, dynamic point guard; Lindsey Woodworth, an excellent shooter who’s improved her off-the-dribble game, and Sammie Neaman, a slasher who thrives who in the open floor.

Offensive areas you hope to improve on over last year:
We hope to improve our half-court execution when teams slow us down. We also hope to have balanced scoring, while also getting consistent inside scoring from Hunter, Daisha, and Mikah.

As a team, what are your defensive strengths?
We have strong individual defenders, but are focus is definitely on team D. We like to give teams a variety of looks and pressures, trying to not allow teams to achieve a level of comfort. We definitely would like to think of ourselves as a defensive-first team.

Defensive Areas you hope to improve on over last year:
We need to rebound better, definitely, which can be a factor with our lack of size.

Does your team have a motto/theme for the upcoming season?
Raising the bar. We’re focusing on not settling for a .500 record or mediocrity. We took some positive steps forward last year, but we don’t want to be complacent with moral victories.

What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s team?
I’m excited to see a new group of players try to step up and take on more important roles, and I’m excited to see Maria and Lindsey show off the ways they’ve improved their games.
