It's not too late for one more football game, is it?

Not at all!

Shelley High School will be the site of the 2014 East Idaho All-Star Football Game this coming May 23rd. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. If this year's edition is anything close to last year's spectacle, it will be well worth your money to attend!

The game features some of the top football players in the area strapping on the pads one more time in a fun, competitive atmosphere. Players from schools in District 5 will compete against players from schools in District 6. Last year, District 6 knocked off their counterparts to the south 35-28 in a thriller of a game.

Having looked over the rosters for both sides, there is a lot of talent that will be showcased. I, personally, cannot wait to see what both sides will bring to the table in terms of strategy.

Shelley Russets head coach Travis Hobson seems to agree.

"I'm really excited about these rosters and think that that this game could be every bit as good as last year's edition of the game", said Hobson. "Each team is loaded with some hefty star power and, aside from perhaps a player or two, this represents the very best that East Idaho has to offer."

Coach Hobson, who just finished up his second year at the helm of the Russet program and serves as the organizer of the event, also said that last year's game helped out a few players in being recognized by college scouts, which turned into recruitment and offers.

"We plan to have a number of college scouts on hand to pick up last minute additions to their rosters and to put on a show for football loving fans all at the same time," Hobson said.

The East Idaho All-Star Football Game will be broadcast LIVE on IdahoSports.com GameStreams. If you're able to attend the game in person, DO IT! We love seeing fans in the stands cheering on their team/favorite players in person. But, if it's not possible to be there, IdahoSports.com has got you covered.
